Remember the old saying, “What you don’t know won’t hurt you”? This is a good saying if you are trying to keep people in the dark. Or if you don’t want someone to know what you are doing. But when it comes to knowing ourselves and owning our stuff it’s less than helpful and more likely, hurtful.
Last week we talked about how our history does not have to define our future because as we have the ability to break free from those things we have inherited. But what about those things that are far more subtle? The ones hiding in our shadow? Call them our blindspots or the shadow of our strengths, but we all have them – even when we are sure we don’t!
