An oxymoron occurs when: “words are juxtaposition that appear contradictory but upon reflection, their meaning becomes apparent.” Oxymorons sound like ‘jumbo shrimp’ or ‘same difference’… or our topic for the weekend, ’VIRGIN BIRTH.’ You may not have a found a safe place to ask these questions, but this weekend we will be considering: Did Jesus really come into the world this way? If He did, why such a weird entrance? Can I reject the virgin birth and still be a follower of Jesus?
