In 1997, Beth and I came from Southern California at the invitation of Fellowship Church to start a new church in West Knoxville. We live in Farragut and have three adult daughters: Anna lives locally and is on Young Life staff at West High School; Hope is married to Wesley Hill and they live in Portland, OR; and our oldest, Sarah, is married to Jonathan Emkes and they reside in Nashville.
I love working with my hands, whether it’s on my 66 Mustang convertible, in the yard, or some carpentry project… and I am an avid fair weather paddle boarder.
We arrived at Two Rivers Church in 2012. Terri and I have been married for almost three decades. We have two amazing daughters, Emily and Megan, who are on their own and in Graduate School. We finally have another guy in the family – Megan married Wes Nichols in December 2016. We are foodies and love great conversation over great food.
Kelly and I, with our two daughters, Joely and Clare, joined the Two Rivers Church family in December of 2011. We previously served churches in Illinois and Texas in various roles. My passion is to help people become Word-dependent, Spirit-empowered followers of Jesus. I also love helping people be successful in what Jesus is calling them to both inside and outside the local church.
In the summer of 2015, Kara and I moved to Two Rivers Church after 12 years in student ministry in Minnesota. We have two daughters – Madelin and Mya, and 1.5 dogs (it’s a long story). I’m into running, hiking, the Chicago Bears and learning car repair from Youtube. If you can’t find me on my day off, there’s a good chance I’m somewhere in the Smokies.
Worship Arts Pastor
I arrived at Two Rivers Church in July of 2010. My beautiful bride, Lindsey, and I got married in 2014. We have the sweetest one-year-old daughter, Selah, and have a baby boy on the way at the time of this writing. We are grateful for the amazing community we have around us. I enjoy family time, real estate investing, disc golf, TN Titans, MU Tigers, STL Cardinals, Chicago deep dish, Chipotle, and Yassin’s Falafel House.
Roane County Campus Pastor
My wife, Heather and I along with our kids, Jenna, Kyle & Ella, joined the Two Rivers Church family in June 2016. I grew up in central Illinois as the son of a coach/teacher. So, I love being in and around athletics. I’ve worked in ministry my whole adult life with Our Daily Bread Ministries, Youth for Christ and most recently as a campus pastor for a multi-site church in eastern Illinois. It’s all about relationships; our relationship with our God and then our relationships with one another. I’m a huge fan of the Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Cubs.
Carol and I moved to Knoxville in 1997 to volunteer in joining with the growing church plant that would become Two Rivers Church. I grew up on our family cattle ranch on the plains of Western, South Dakota. While pursuing a pre-law degree at the University of South Dakota, a fraternity brother led me to the Lord. We enjoy the blessing of four lively children: Logan, Blake, Jessica and Kylie.
Lora and I have been serving at Two Rivers since the church was planted in 1998 and are both on staff. We have 3 beautiful children, Abby, Megan and Bradley, who are all active members. My heart is to develop a thriving community of worshipers and prayer warriors for ministry. I want to see people drawn deeper in to “His Presence” where they are touched and changed forever.
High School Pastor
Lauren and I came to Two Rivers Church in September of 2016 with a heart for students to experience the fullness of life in Christ. We are passionate about students not just knowing about God, but experiencing Him in the scriptures, worship and through community. I am a lifelong, die-hard fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Longhorns and anything Texas…Texas Forever (if you know that reference you just earned cool points with me.) I love playing sports, doing any sort of outdoor adventure and of course, smoking meat.
Young Adult/Middle School Pastor
Jill and I came to Two Rivers in 2013. We have been married for 8 years and have three incredible daughters, Emerson, Piper and Kinsley, who keep us busy and bring so much joy. When I’m not working with students you can find me cheering for the Denver Broncos, LA Lakers & Dodgers and the University of Tennessee.

I came on staff as the Worship Resident in July of 2012 and have loved every moment with my Two Rivers Church family. I’m originally from Niceville Florida and miss the beach on an almost daily basis. I love creating music, playing sports, and laughing as much as possible.
