TECH MINISTRY

As a partner ministry within worship arts, our tech department serves the church through running sound, lights, media, and building set designs for services & events. Each venue on every campus is carefully monitored and intentionally designed for the purpose of honoring God, building community, and encouraging authentic worship environments that allow people to worship freely and obediently. If you’re new to Two Rivers Church, we encourage you to check out all of our venues to help you determine which environment is the best fit for you.

Not only do our technicians seek to run these creative elements with excellence, they also work hard to manage a safe environment for all those attending. If you’d like to learn more about how audio is managed at Two Rivers, you can read through our 2RC Audio Policy. If you have any further questions, you may contact our Tech Director, Tyler Petersen. If you are interested in serving with our Tech Ministry, please fill out the Tech Ministry Application below.

  • (If yes, which group; if not, where are you pursuing authentic community outside of weekend church attendance?)
  • Thank you for your interest in serving with the Worship Arts Ministry at Two Rivers Church. Our goal through this process is to help you determine how your talents, time, and passions can be best utilized to serve His kingdom, whether that means a role with this ministry or other ministry opportunities.
As the Worship Arts Ministry at Two Rivers Church:

    • We believe that at the core, to worship God is simply to love and give glory to God with “…all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind” (Matthew 22:37).
    • We believe that leading worship for a corporate body is about first loving God, and second, loving His people (Matthew 22:39).
    • We believe that we are called to lead in humility and grace, counting “…others more significant than…” ourselves (Philippians 2:3-4).
    • We believe that whether it be treating people with respect or honoring their time by being punctual and prepared for rehearsals, in everything that we do, we are called to honor those around us (Romans 12:10).
    • We believe that every musician and singer on a team is a leader and is therefore called to live a life that is above reproach (Titus 1:7-8) and an example of Jesus to those around them (Colossians 1:10), both on and off the stage.
    • We believe that we are called to lead with “integrity of heart” and “skillful hands” (Psalm 78:72).
    • We believe that we are called to invest in our (musical) talents as stewards of the gifts God has given us to advance His kingdom work (Matthew 25:14-30, James 1:17).
    • We believe that God deserves the absolute best we have to offer (Genesis 4:4), emphasizing the importance of practicing on our own time before we arrive to rehearsal.
    • We believe that as the body of Christ is made up of unique individual parts that each play a different but significant role in His kingdom, this ministry is also made up of uniquely gifted individuals who all have different but equally important roles to play within the team (1 Corinthians 12:12-31).
    • We believe that we are called to lead through songs that are biblically and theologically true (2 Timothy 3:16-17) and that the Holy Spirit is ultimately the one who moves in people’s hearts through these songs (Romans 8:14).

Thank you for taking the time to practice and audition, we look forward to meeting with you!
