Live It Out | A Daily Discipleship Guide

Monday

Jesus is unveiled as the worthy King who invites all people into his kingdom. What does the Magi’s journey teach us about seeking Jesus with intentionality? How does recognizing Jesus as King challenge your current priorities or values? In what ways can you seek Jesus more intentionally this week? Ask Jesus, “Where is my worship in alignment? What has yet to be brought into alignment?”

Tuesday

Worship begins when we recognize Jesus as King. Why is submission a key part of worship? How do we see this in the Magi’s response to Jesus in Matthew 2? How is it reflected in Psalm 95? What are some areas in your life where submission to Jesus might be difficult? How can you practice bowing your heart in worship today? Ask Jesus, “What part of my heart or mind do I need to surrender to you?”

Wednesday

Everyone is welcome to worship Jesus the King. Why is it significant that the first worshippers of Jesus were outsiders? How can your life or actions reflect Jesus’ inclusive kingdom? How do our actions reflect our heart of worship or lack of worship? Ask Jesus, “How can I reflect your heart for all people in a practical way today?”

Thursday

The only response to Jesus is to seek, adore, and give sacrificially to his kingdom. How does this whole chapter, not only the opening verses, connect to living a life of worship? What does sacrificial worship mean, and how can it go beyond material giving? How have you been challenged in how you think about generosity toward Jesus and his kingdom? Ask Jesus, “What is one thing you are asking me to offer as a living sacrifice today?”

Friday

Jesus is unveiled as the worthy King who invites all people into his kingdom. How does this passage reinforce the truth that Jesus is the worthy King? What does it mean for you personally to bow before Jesus and confess him as Lord? What areas of your life are hardest to surrender to Jesus’ kingship, and why? Ask Jesus, “How can I reflect your kingship in my life today?”
