He has promised to come back again – how can that make you joyful today? Thank God for the ways he has kept and will keep his promises.

In what ways does the gospel of Jesus challenge the “false joys” and temporary peace offered by the world? How can you live out the joy and hope of God’s kingdom in your daily life? Ask Jesus, “How do I live out joy-filled worship today?”

Tuesday

Who has been an example to you in how they generously give their time, energy, and attention to others? How does that reflect the life and love of Jesus? How can you be ready to respond to opportunities the Holy Spirit gives you today? Ask Jesus, “How do I live out joy-filled worship today?

Wednesday

Where is Jesus at work in your life? What does it look like to demonstrate joy-filled worship in your work-place or home? How can it be an intentional practice and not simply assumed? Ask Jesus, “How do I live out joy-filled worship today?”

Reflect on Philippians 2:5-11. In what ways could you embrace a mindset of humility this Advent season? What might God be calling you to release or let go of to serve others better?

Joy is found in embracing the living Jesus. 

Embracing Jesus results in joy-filled worship.

“Joy-filled worship” — our response to God with gratitude and delight, 

empowered by the Holy Spirit and rooted in the gospel.

Joy-filled worship is an everyday expression of living with Jesus.
