Live It Out | A Daily Discipleship Guide

Monday

Jesus flips our values right-side up. Where do you feel tension between the world’s version of the “blessed life” and what Jesus says about those who are or will experience the favor of God? How does Jesus’ definition of being “blessed” challenge the way you usually think about success or happiness? What’s one small decision you can make that reflects a kingdom value instead of the world’s expectations? Ask Jesus, “What’s one value you want to flip in me?”

Tuesday

Jesus defines who experiences God’s favor. This prophecy reveals the kind of people to whom God brings healing and restoration—the poor, the brokenhearted, the captive. How does this align with or challenge your idea of who is “favored” by God? What’s one phrase or idea from this chapter you want to hold onto today? How might Jesus be redefining “favor”  in your life? Ask Jesus, “What’s one part of my story you want to redeem and use to bless others?”

Wednesday

Jesus defines what normal looks like in his upright kingdom. What contrast do you see between the way of the wicked and the way of the righteous? Where do you feel the tension of that contrast in your life right now? How does this psalm invite you to respond differently? Ask Jesus, “How do you want to shape my desires and expectations today?”

Thursday

Jesus leads us into a whole-life response. What is a whole-life response? What part of this passage in 1 Corinthians most challenges your assumptions about success or strength? How does this shift your view of what matters most in your own life? What might it look like to embrace the way of Jesus not just in your beliefs, but in your habits, goals, or relationships? Ask Jesus, “What’s one value you want to flip in me?”

Friday

Jesus flips our values right-side up. Reflect on how your perspective may have shifted this week. Where have you sensed Jesus inviting you to live differently? Write out your personal definition of “the good life.” How does this reflect what Jesus taught?

Monday

Jesus calls me to a heart-changing transformation. Where do you tend to obey externally but resist inward change? What would it look like to read the Bible as a story that leads to Jesus? How might that impact your response? Ask yourself: “What does ‘heart-changing transformation’ actually look like in this season of my life? Where is Jesus inviting me to grow?” Ask Jesus, “Where have I settled for surface-level obedience?”

Tuesday

Jesus brings God’s story to completion, teaching us that transformation is lived out. Do you treat Scripture as fulfilled in Jesus or as a list of rules to survive? What do you notice in this passage that exposes surface-level obedience in your life? Which teaching of Jesus feels hardest to live out—and why? Ask yourself, “Who do I see Jesus transforming around me?” Ask Jesus, “How can I speak encouragement into their journey today?” Now, do it—send the text, make the call, speak what you see.

Wednesday

Jesus brings God’s story to completion, teaching us righteousness isn’t about doing more, but becoming different. Transformation requires us to embrace the process. Ask yourself the hard questions: “Where do I still live like righteousness depends on me instead of God’s Spirit within me? Where do I tend to make excuses, letting myself off the hook instead of embracing change? What kind of person am I becoming, and how?” Ask Jesus, “How do you want me to pray today?”

Thursday

Jesus brings God’s story to completion, teaching us that obedience flows from a heart transformed by the Holy Spirit. Where might you still be trying to earn what Jesus already accomplished? What would it look like today to surrender instead of strive? Ask Jesus, “Where do I need to stop striving and start surrendering to your Spirit?” How do you sense the Spirit inviting you into obedience? Invite the Holy Spirit to lead you in that today!

Friday

Jesus calls me to a heart-changing transformation.

Review your week: Where have you seen growth? Where do you need grace for yourself? Where do you need grace for others? What is Jesus teaching you right now? What’s the next step of obedience Jesus is asking you to take? Take the step… Live it out!
