This past Saturday, more than 30 people gathered at our Oak Ridge campus with one heart and one purpose: to seek God and love our community through prayer.

We split into three teams—two were sent out into the city, and one stayed within the walls of our church. Together, we lifted up both the neighborhoods around us and the spaces where ministry would soon take place, asking God to move in power.

Covering Oak Ridge in Prayer

The community teams walked through the streets of Oak Ridge, pausing at schools, churches, and neighborhoods to pray. We asked the Spirit to open doors for the Gospel and to guide our steps as we build relationships and invest in this city.

Along the way, God reminded us that He’s already at work. One neighbor stopped to ask what was happening in our building, and when she heard about new life coming to the space, she lit up with excitement about visiting. Stories like these show us that the Spirit is moving ahead of us, preparing hearts to encounter Jesus.

Covering Our Campus in Prayer

Inside the building, the church team walked room by room, inviting God’s presence into every space. From the sanctuary to the Kids’ classrooms, Student gathering areas, and future Group rooms, each prayer was a declaration of faith: these spaces will be filled with life and transformed by the Gospel.

We prayed with gratitude for those who worshiped here before us and with expectancy for those who will walk through these doors in the days ahead.

Saturday was a beautiful glimpse of what’s to come—a family of believers united in prayer, committed to this city, and hungry for God’s Kingdom to move.

We’re so thankful for everyone who joined us, and we are filled with anticipation for what’s ahead. This is just the beginning, and we can’t wait to see all that God will do in and through Oak Ridge!
