Two weeks ago, our Oak Ridge Campus hummed with expectation as more than forty people gathered for our first on-campus interest meeting. The theme for the night—“Come and See” from John 1—invited us to step into the kind of simple, powerful obedience that marked the call of the earliest disciples. And together, we got a glimpse of what God may be inviting our church family into next.
From the moment the doors opened, there was a sense of joy and anticipation in the room. We shared in the gospel, laughed together, and reconnected with familiar faces while meeting new ones. It felt less like an informational meeting and more like the start of a shared journey—one marked by community, purpose, and prayer.
We took time to walk the building, pausing to pray over classrooms, hallways, and ministry spaces. Each prayer carried a hope for what God might do there: families strengthened, students discipled, neighbors welcomed, and the name of Jesus lifted high in Oak Ridge. That moment of unified prayer was a powerful reminder that this campus is not just a building, but a future home for ministry and mission.
We also shared some of what God is already doing in our community—our growing ministry partnerships, opportunities in local schools, and the ways we’re preparing to invest deeply in the people of Oak Ridge. It was energizing to see so many people passionate about reaching this city with the love of Christ.
More than anything, the night felt like a purposeful beginning. A simple but profound invitation to “come and see” what God is doing—and to imagine what He might do next through a community willing to pray, serve, and go together.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who joined us, prayed with us, and offered encouragement and support. If this meeting was any indication, God is stirring something beautiful at the Oak Ridge Campus.
And this is only the beginning.
