Meet Tyler Johnson, Our Oak Ridge Campus Pastor

We are excited to announce that Tyler Johnson has joined the Two Rivers Church team as the Campus Pastor for our new Oak Ridge Campus!

Tyler, his wife Kate, their two children, and their dog, Riggins, recently moved to East Tennessee from Palmetto, Florida—but Knoxville is actually home for them. Returning to this area is a full-circle moment, and we are thrilled that God has brought them back for such a time as this.

Tyler’s Journey in Ministry

Tyler first stepped into ministry as a college intern at Cokesbury Church here in Knoxville. For the past six years, he has served faithfully as a Youth and Family Life Pastor, investing deeply in the next generation. Before that, Tyler gained unique experience working with students on the autism spectrum at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga. His passion for helping people grow, connect, and experience the life-changing love of Jesus is evident in everything he does.

Life Beyond Ministry

Outside of his pastoral calling, Tyler is a big fan of good coffee, climbing, swimming, and golf. And if you want to talk college football—just know he is a die-hard Florida Gators fan! Tyler and Katie love to be outdoors and enjoy building community wherever God plants them.

Looking Ahead to Oak Ridge

As we prepare to renovate the Oak Ridge building through the Catalyst Campaign and launch our newest campus in the fall of 2026, Tyler will play a vital role in leading, shepherding, and building relationships in the community. We believe God has uniquely prepared him for this moment, and we can’t wait to see how He uses the Johnson family to bless Oak Ridge.
